First and foremost, stop Asian hate.
I am not very eloquent when writing about race, but I can at least say that.
Below are some articles I’ve read this week that speak to last week’s shootings in Atlanta and anti-Asian hate crimes more broadly. I recommend reading all of them. I also recommend checking out my friend Erin’s most recent newsletter, which contains some great resources on ways to support the Asian community.
Here are the articles:
Why This Wave of Anti-Asian Racism Feels Different

What I Watched This Week
Between the Atlanta shootings and a family emergency, pop culture was not much of a priority for me this week.
Randy and I did watch a movie on Saturday night that we both enjoyed and I very much recommend: Fighting With My Family.
I went into it not knowing anything about the movie, and it made the film that much more enjoyable. So I don’t want to tell you the premise, but I will name some of the cast:
Florence Pugh
Dwayne Johnson
Lena Headey
Vince Vaughn
…need I go on?
Let me know if you watch it! In the meantime, I’m sending you all lots of love.
See you next week,
Kate
